Southampton Guildhall Melotone

The Southampton Guildhall Compton has been busy recently. Nigel Ogden gave an excellent concert on Sunday with a wide variety of music played on both consoles including a few solos from the Melo. Then over the past few days Peter and crew have been recording Richard Hills playing material for the forthcoming CD of the organ. The weather hasn't been too helpful with chamber temperatures rising steadily throughout the session keeping everyone on their toes tuning all the time, but one has to make hay while the sun shines and it was a rare opportunity to get access to the Guildhall on consecutive days. So not too far hence there will be at least one more recording of a Melotone to add to your collection. More info as I get it.

I passed by there yesterday and thought that I ought to look out for some more concerts. I'll certainly be interested in a CD. Been a bit busy over the summer but that's slackening off a bit now (or will have once I've decorated the lounge. :-( ). If you ever need an extra pair of hands over there, as always, happy to assist.

Oh, that sounds like it'll be a good show.

Unfortunately I think I'm destined to be decorating the lounge most of the weekend. I've got a lot of painting to do and an impending deadline of carpet and furniture delivery. :-(

Just maybe.. I'll have earned myself a break by Saturday evening...
